When you know who you are, what sets you apart, where you’re headed, and why you want it, figuring out what to say on social media is easy!
The Make Words Do Things framework for brand alignment goes far beyond the mission, vision, and values statement projects that advertising agencies have been overcharging for years.
We fuse personal branding elements like passion, purpose, and personality to the traditional business brand.
What’s more, we work through how to actually use this knowledge as a compass of sorts for clear and confident guidance on what to post, where to post it, and how to engage with audiences.
At Make Words Do Things, we build the foundation for small business owners to effectively articulate who they are, trumpet what they do, shout from the rooftops why and how they do it to ultimately obliterate the obstacles keeping them from showing up and marketing their brand online.
Hi, I’m Mary, Mary Margaret to my family but hearing my full name still makes me feel like I’m about to get in trouble, so the rest of the world just calls me Mary.
Over the past 20+ years I have had the opportunity to work in hospitality sales, advertising, digital marketing and PR for a wide variety of clients and industries. Interestingly, the projects, client work and accomplishments I am most proud of all share an important common thread. In every one of those chapters, I was directly serving people.
That particular ah-ha moment was the nugget that became Make Words Do Things. Over the years, I have seen many entrepreneurs, creators and community leaders go all in on big ideas with the very best of intentions only to fall short of their big audacious goal because of something that intentional communication, strategic planning or support from a think-tank could have solved.
I’m a native Texas girl; born in Houston –> Midland –> Austin. I came to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University and as it turned out, West Texas wide open spaces and sunsets that can only be designed by God himself speak to my soul. I’m right where I should be.
I’m a dog mom to a beautiful Weimaraner named Goose and a gorgeous black Lab named Stage. Follow me on the socials and you’ll be sure to see them.
I serve first, sell second.
My clients will never wonder if they’re being hustled for sale. I deeply believe that when by operating with a service-first philosophy, revenue will take care of itself.
I always tell my clients the truth.
If I’m not the very best choice for business owner’s specific need, I’ll be the very first to say so. Neither of us will win if I’m not the right fit.
I will never stop looking for better solutions.
The digital landscape changes daily. It’s my job to keep up and bring new options to the forefront for even the smallest businesses.
I am committed to a growth mindset.
When we stop learning we begin failing. This mindset has served me well and does the same for my clients.
The brand foundation always has the answer.
This one might be the most important. I have built this whole business on the idea that if a business owner REALLY knows and understands the power of branding, the sky is the limit. I teach people how to rely on what they know to be true in order to get out of their own way when it comes to marketing online.
